Souths Sports Club has been established in Acacia Ridge for more than 50 years, providing a strong commitment to the local community, creating a safe environment where the patrons could come for entertainment, to meet new friends and provide a solid future for the sports of rugby league, lawn bowls and other organisations.

Brisbane Racing Club took over the Souths Sports Club in May 2017 and in August 2018 injected $2.7 million into a renovation to create a more family-friendly venue and community hub. They created a Space where Members can be proud to call it THEIR Club. This included catering to the youngest members of the Club with 2 new kids rooms suitable Children for all ages.

Facilities include a bottle shop, a large sports bar, 2 kids rooms for Children of all ages, three bars, a bistro area, coffee shop and function rooms, which includes the auditorium that can comfortably seat more than 450 people (this is currently 200 people under Covid Restrictions)

The club also boasts 75 of the latest gaming machines TAB, Keno and Bingo for members entertainment.

While Souths Sports Club is a not-for-profit community club, our hardworking staff are aware that the more successful the Club is, the more Souths Junior Football Club, Souths Acacia Bowls Club and the local community will benefit.

The club also provides significant contributions through cash and in-kind support to local schools, sporting, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.

We will continue to work closely with the local council and maintain relationships with local schools and charitable organisations within the area and to create jobs for local residents.
